Luke lived in fullness of heart. He was a bright spot in any space, sporting a wide smile and a heartfelt laugh. He had the "gift of gab," loved Superman ice cream and all things sweet. He loved cabin weekends with friends, and was passionate about world travel, impacted the beauty of nature in other parts of the world as much as by the way others lived. He bonded deeply with teachers, friends and coaches in his life, always cheering others on.
Every time you wear this bracelet, feel a smile as bright as Luke's and a warmth in your heart. Let his spirit drive you to find the joys in life, both big and small. Let this remind you that we can change another person's life simply by leading with love. That is Luke's Legacy.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT OF THE SAMBURU PROJECT.
Each stone in this handmade bracelet was intentionally chosen to represent Luke. The multi-colored jasper represents his vibrancy, his wit and his approach to life that taught us to remember to always make it fun. The purple tiger eye represents the color that came to be a symbol of support after his earthly time was over. The golden tiger eye is his bright spirit, lighting up a room wherever he went, making him fiercely unforgettable. The two natural mother of pearl are his pups, Daisy and Millie, his treasured companions. The orange dream fire agate represents a basketball, something he was passionate about and through which he built a strong sense of friendship and community. The white druzy agate represents his resilience, his ability to keep digging, always knowing there is a treasure within. A heavenly presence that will forever be in us all. The blue sodalite and African turquoise represent his passion for The Samburu Project, an undertaking of Luke’s that he didn’t have the chance to carry out, but whose dream inspired others to carry it for him. The blue goldstone surrounding Luke is the Orono Community, and beyond, that continues to share his story and keep him close.
Part of Luke's legacy was his love for helping others. In 2023, Luke and his family visited Kenya, where he befriended members of the Samburu tribe, a nomadic group of people who continue to live the same way today that they have for centuries. Water is scarce in Samburu, and the women in the village walk several kilometers each day to gather water for the tribe. Upon his return home, Luke was determined to make a difference.
Before his passing, Luke had partnered with The Samburu Project (TSP), an organization whose mission is to build hand pump wells to improve the quality of life of the Samburu people. Luke was determined to raise the necessary funds to build a well in Samburu villages, which would improve the lives of approximately 1,000 people (and future generations). Luke created his fundraising webpage and spoke directly with the tribe to coordinate with TSP and the village. In Luke's plan, one of the ways the village would be involved was for bead bracelets to be made by the tribe to be given to larger donors. EOS is honored to make stone bead bracelets as a memorial tribute to Luke for others to carry with them, while continuing to help carry out his dream to bring fresh water to the Samburu people. Thank you for being a part of his dream.
For every bracelet purchased, $10 will be donated by Embrace Our Souls to The Samburu Project.
